When I began designing, the bridesmaid category felt overlooked, or even an afterthought.
Dresses were complicated, rarely flattering, and often disconnected from how women actually wanted to feel. I believed there was a more thoughtful and modern approach rooted in simplicity that was appealing for the women wearing the dress.
Starting from the ground up wasn’t easy. There were moments of uncertainty, limited resources, and constant problem-solving, but what carried me through was the support of the women closest to me, especially my mom and my sister.
They were my foundation, offering both encouragement and honesty when I needed it most.
A key to overcoming early challenges was staying grounded in my point of view. I believed in minimalism, clean lines, thoughtful construction, and fabrics that move with the body.
I wanted every woman to feel like herself, just elevated.
We helped redefine what bridesmaid dressing could look like by giving women options that felt modern, versatile, and flattering. That evolution naturally led me into bridal. Designing wedding dresses felt like an extension of this philosophy: to create pieces that honor the moment without overwhelming the woman wearing them.
I have a deep respect for the work that Custom Collaborative is doing. Creating access, education, and opportunity for women, especially in an industry that can often feel inaccessible, is incredibly important.
Supporting and uplifting the next generation of talent is something I believe we all have a responsibility to be part of.
Looking ahead, my dream is to continue evolving into the destination for the entire bridal wardrobe. Not just the wedding dress, but every special bridal moment. Most of all, I want to keep building something that empowers women to feel like the best version of themselves.
