Raymond Ampil

Raymond Ampil (he/him) works as the Senior US Program Manager of Fondation CHANEL, an international corporate foundation with the mission to create the conditions for women and adolescent girls to be free to shape their own destiny. In his role, he leads on grantmaking and capacity-strengthening for partner organizations in the United States who are working on advancing gender equality through safety, economic and social autonomy, and women-led climate resilience. He was born and raised in The Philippines and immigrated to the United States as a teenager with his single mother.

He considers himself lucky to have cut his teeth supporting cultural organizing in New York's queer community where he learned that a better world is possible through dreaming and building. He was also an Americorps member, supporting the infrastructure of local nonprofits and public schools to facilitate adult, teen, and children's education programming. He has 2 cats; loves classical music, house, and techno; and these days reads science fiction mostly.
